This intensive workshop is an opportunity for your top students to learn music in class with their teacher, then work with Vocal Clinician Todd Moses, Director of The Macombers, who will enhance the workshop experience by coaching the choir consisting of top students from Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne counties.
We are excited to welcome, for the first time, celebrated Choreographer Jason Johnson to the Workshop!
Jason Johnson is a professional singer, dancer, and choreographer. He is a graduate of Ball State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in both Choral and Instrumental Music Education. While at Ball State he was a five-year member, choreographer, and dance captain of the nationally-renowned Ball State Singers. This season will mark Jason’s 35th year choreographing competitive show choirs. During this time his groups consistently have been finalists as well as receiving “Grand Champion” and “Best Choreography” awards numerous times. In addition to choreographing at the high school and university levels Jason has also choreographed for Cedar Point, Radisson Cruise Lines, and the Steve Gatlin Christmas Show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We are looking forward to another great year of the Jr. High Workshop!
